The processing of personal data is governed by the General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”). Pam Computers is the data controller for all the personal data that we hold and process.
How We Will Use Your Personal Data?
All the information you provide to us will be used for the purposes of providing and promoting the services, events and activities of Pam Computers . This includes, but is not restricted to information about our invitations to special events & initiatives etc. We also hold your personal data for administration purposes for example processing donations and gift aid. The legal basis that Pam Computers relies on as the legal basis for holding and processing your data is your consent. The vast majority of the information we hold is obtained directly from you, for example when you for example when you contact us with an enquiry, make a donation for any of the charities we support, visit our website, register for a event etc. The personal information we collect and process will include your name and contact details including email and mobile number, donations and pledges given to the charities we are supporting directly or to us to forward to them including gift aid status where applicable (as required by HMRC).
The additional information we collect might also include your date of birth. We will also keep a record of our contact with you and your attendance to any of the Pam Computers events and initiatives. Your personal data will be securely stored on our ministry computer and held in accordance with the GDPR. Access is restricted to the administrator and our committee members who need to see the data to carry out their role and they will only see the information relevant to the task they are carrying out. Unless we have a legal obligation to do so, we will not disclose your data to individuals, or organisations or other entities outside of Pam Computers other than to those who are acting on our behalf or providing a service to us (travel / hotel booking). However, we may need to disclose your information to a third party if required by law (for example to government bodies and law enforcement agencies) or if we have your permission to do so. Pam Computers considers its relationship with you as lifelong and we will retain your details until you tell us that you no longer want to hear from us, or if Pam Computers changes its structure (when renewed consent would be sought) or if Pam Computers ceases to exist. We will process your personal data only as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Sometimes we are obliged by law to keep your data for a certain length of time for example HMRC requires that we keep a record of your name, address and gift aid declaration forms for six years from the date of your last donation. Data will be kept securely and destroyed appropriately when no longer required. Pam Computers reserves the right to request renewed consent periodically if deemed necessary.
We will always try to ensure your data is kept up to date. You have the right to request a copy of all your personal data that Pam Computers holds at any time. We will endeavour to provide such information within one month of a request. You have the right to withdraw consent from Pam Computers to use your personal data for the purpose of sending you communications at any time. If you do choose to withdraw your consent, this will not mean that our processing of your personal data before you withdrew your consent was unlawful.
